Clean The Air In Your Home With Air Conditioning Filters

December 6th, 2009

As shocking as it may seem indoor air can in reality be more polluted than outdoor air. Besides outdoor pollutants getting inside, most households possess many sources of pollutants as well. Although some of them are more dangerous than others, understanding they are in your house can be fairly troubling. And the risk is often higher with more consistent exposure to them, so cutting down on this time will be at least one thing that can help.

We have evolved to a point that we are able to a certain amount of these pollutants, but some people are a good deal more sensitive than others. For most people the amount and stretch of time exposed needs to be pretty high for serious or long term impairment to happen so that’s good to know. But those people that are more vulnerable may want to consider using things like whole house air purifiers to help filter and clear the air.

Many of these filters function well to remove many of the everyday pollutants and allergens, like bacteria, pollen, animal dander and dust mites from the air. Those with allergies particularly should search for house filters and air conditioning filters. Signs that you may have an allergy include sneezing, coughing, headaches, itchy eyes or nose, difficulty breathing or fatigue. If you experience these symptoms for a long period of time let your physician know. You may want to consult an allergist.

Another thing you will want to do to assist is vacuum and dust your house regularly to clean these things from the table tops and carpet. This way these pollutants can’t constantly be kicked up into the air.
