Food Advice After Boot Camp
Could you ever consider drinking a glass of fat?
No, we are not crazy, neither is this a joke. Recent studies have demonstrated that having a fairly easy take away meal is the equivalent of ingesting a good glass full of, you guessed it, pure dirty fat.
Ethnic meals may appear a great idea for lunch, however each time you eat Chinese for example – a normal menu comprising crispy duck, chicken balls and spring rolls – you’re eating much more than you would think. That equals, in fact, to just under 3,000 calories (more than what the typical man’s everyday consumption should be) or around one hundred thirty grams of fat.
You don’t have to be a diet professional, a health and fitness trainer or even a boot camp expert to understand how wrong that is. In the UK, it has been determined that more than one in three individuals consume take-away food at least twice per week. And while all the ectomorphes out there need not to worry, for the others that might not be good news.
Take away foods (or, at this point, should it just be called ‘junk food’) is actually acceptable for the sporadic treat, but it should not become a regular habit. People who practise all kinds of sports and exercises are doing what’s right, but most of them are not aware of the fact that by eating the wrong kind of food after practising, they’re just doing more damage than good.
Enjoy your green salad tonight. (And no sauce for you!)
