My Dad Actually Purchasing A Classic Ford Mustang
Well, I haven’t much had any time to write on the site quite as often as I might like, owing to all the time I have been helping my pops manage his super nutball midlife crisis. Well, some would argue it’s not quite as nuts as it might be. Basically what he did was to go and dress himself up like fonzie, and storm over to my crib and tell me, in his “coolest” tone of voice: “Hop in, bro, we’re gonna start cruising for some classic Mustangs. That’s right, my boy, I’m finally going to make this thing happen.”
So next he & I were on our way to a couple of those crazy classic car lots that most people are just about certain are not quite on the up and up, and I am just awed the dude cut a check right there on the spot, for an extremely gleaming classic Ford automobile. I mean, it really is one hell of a purchase. It sounded really nice too.
Notice that I said that in a past tense. It sounded really nice for a short time, at which point it became silent. Dad maintains that it’s a pretty simple fix and that all he requires is the right part. Only thing is, it can’t possibly be as easy to get your hands on 1967 Mustang parts as it was some a million years ago, but my Dad informs me there’s a really big availability for them still. From what I’m told the surest way to get you parts for 1967 Mustangs is actually web auctions, since you can get them refurbbed and occasionally even brand new. They might not be cheap, though… After all, they are ancient car parts.
I suppose it could’ve been worse. Imagine if he would’ve bought himself a volkswagen bus.
