How do I become a trader on the floor of the New York Mercentile Exchange?

Let me add, I’m already in the financial industry as a trader, been doing it for 2 years now. I mostly work in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, options. I’m looking for a way in.

    I’m pretty sure there are a very limited number of seats (they mostly stand and run around I think) on the exchanges. Mostly investment firms own them or people inherit them sometimes I think. It costs like a million for a spot I think.
