Day trading, currency, metals, futures. which one?

I want to try and learn how to trade, but how do you decide which one? Especially as someone with no experience but with a somewhat stable head on shoulders. With all the obvious factors to consider such as risk, return, stability, goals, etc. what is the choice that is easiest to understand and get going on? Personally I would say my relevant issues are minimal start up costs, minimum time to invest, and low risk. However, I am open to any choice if it is appealing.

Forex i.e currency trading is more luqudative
For log term investment if thinking of metal but it should be for log term but it should be invested thru equity purchasing shares.
For long term but it should be for log term investment if thinking of intraday is definately in big loss invest in stocks of metal but it should be for long term but it should be for long term investment if thinking of intraday no one can earn money in stocks of metal but tht too not.
Personally I would invest in well established growth mutual funds. Skip the day trading …
Currency trading is better since the market is pen 24 hours and there are only a certain number of pair to work with
