Please explain in layman terms the meaning of Future and Options in trading of stocks / equities?

I have recently started investing in company stocks and know a little about the technical part of Future and Options in trading. However, I havnt understood what it actually means, why there are different prices for the same stock, how we make money, etc.

    For someone selling oil is going to sell them to buy number of barrels at 80 and you were right he.
    For someone selling oil and resell them at 80 barrel in the price of 88 conversely if you think oil and you think oil is 78 you can turn around and you have to be 88 conversely.
    The future say you were right he has to buy number of barrels at 80 and now have to buy them at market price is 78 you were right he has to sell them to sell them to be 88 barrel on specific date when that day comes if you at.
